One Ken's greatest professional achievements was his work at the National Physical Laboratory on electron microscopy, where he built up a strong research group working with one of the very few million volt microscopes that were around at that time. It was during this time that he gained his PhD and then DSc degrees from London University and became a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
In 2013 the NPL invited Ken and two colleagues to make a short video discussing the work they did at that time. It is available to view here: https://youtu.be/mBJciT1sOtA.
There are two more videos with Ken from the NPL, on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/p0k3VP9eoEw and https://youtu.be/EoyRxUV4qXc.
